Bast. una divinidad nacional del antiguo Egipto, era la diosa con cabeza de gato del aspecto benéfico del Sol, opuesto a Sekhmet, que personificaba su poder destructivo. Bast, a national deity of ancient Egypt, was the cat headed goddess of the beneficial aspect of the Sun, opposing Sekhmet, who personified it's destructive power. She was said to be the sister or daughter of Ra, and also his wife. She was a kind goddess, and protect men against evil spirits and contagious disease. She is depicted here in her full cat form. Los Jarros Canópicos eran usados para conservar los órganos de los muertos después de su embalsamamiento. Las tapas counmente reproducían a los cuatro hijos de Horus. Canopic Jars were used to hold the organs of the dead after they were embalmed. The lids were commonly carved to resemble the four sons of Horus. The four organs housed by the jars were the lungs, the stomach, the liver and the intestines. Egyptians held no regard for the brain, which was discarded. The heart was left inside the body, to be judged in the afterlife. The set of four Canopic jars are hand painted. They are all 3 3/4" high.

Thoth the ibis headed was the Egyptian god of wisdom, alchemy, and writing. Thoth conceived himself at the beginning of time, and was the scribe to the gods and husband of Ma'at. He recorded the results of the weighing of a spirits heart against the feather of Ma'at. He is also credited with the invention of astronomy, geometry and medicine. This statue is made of hand painted. It stands 7 1/4" high.

Isis is considered to be the best representation of the goddess in the history of man. She was the mother of Horus the Younger and wife of Osiris, who was also her brother. Considered to be the greatest magician in the universe, Isis forced the god Ra to reveal his secret name to her, resurrected her husband Osiris after his dismemberment by Set, and protected the son of Horus the Younger Amset. Sekhmet was the lioness headed goddess who was the dark reverse of the goddess Hathor. She was a goddess of war whom almost wiped out the human race, running rampant until Ra tricked her with beer the color of human blood. Also a sun goddess, she represented its destructive force, and defended the divine order. This statue is hand painted. It stands 9 1/4" high.

Obelisco, resina fría pintada a mano, altura 21.59 cms. y 5,08 cms. la base cuadrada. Es un monumento por lo general hecho de granito rosado. Coronado con un ion de pirámide en lo alto. Los Obeliscos son símbolos solares similares en significado a las pirámides, están asociados con un piedra antigua llamada BENBEN en Heliópolis. Se colocaban por pares en las entradas de los templos y en algunas tumbas del Antiguo Imperio. 

Obelisk, Cold cast resin Hand painted, 8 1/2" high x 2" square base. From the Greek word meaning; "a spit". It is a monumental tapering shaft usually made of pink granite. Capped with a pyramid ion at the top. Obelisks are solar symbols similar in meaning to pyramids, they are associated with an ancient stone called BENBEN in Heliopolis. They were set in pairs, at the entrances of temples, and to some Old Kingdom tombs.

Siendo Horus el Señor del Bajo Egipto. Fué Seth quien se puso frente la barcaza solar para defender al dios sol Ra de su más peligrosa enemiga, la serpiente Apep. En este tiempo parece no haber tenido conflictos con los cultos de Isis y Osiris. Es más, era parte de la misma familia de dioses, y se casó con su hermana gemela Nephthys. Parece sin embargo que los seguidores de Seth podrían haber resistido a los seguidores de Horus y al Faraón Menes de la Primera Dinastía cuando unió el Alto y el Bajo Egipto. Cult Center: Ombos. Early in Egyptian history, Seth is spoken of in terms of reverence as the god of wind and storms. He was even known as the Lord of Upper Egypt. Horus being the Lord of Lower Egypt. It was Seth who stood in the front of the solar barge to defended the sun god Ra from his most dangerous foe, the serpent Apep. At this time, he seems to have had no conflicts with the cults of Isis or Osiris. In fact, he was part of the same family of gods, and married to his twin sister, Nephthys. However, it appears the followers of Seth may have resisted the followers of Horus and the First Dynasty pharaoh, Menes, when he united Upper and Lower Egypt. This struggle for control of Egypt seems to be reflected in the mythology. At this point, Seth is portrayed as questioning the authority of his brother, Osiris. The Osiris cults took this opportunity to discredit the followers of Seth; he was now considered to be Osiris' evil brother. And the story was told that Seth was evil since birth, because he ripped himself from his mother's womb by tearing through her side. In the Osiris legends, it is Seth who tricks and murders Osiris. He is also the antagonist of Horus. By the Twenty-sixth Dynasty, Seth was the embodiment of evil. He was depicted with red eyes and hair. The ancient Egyptians believed red represented evil. 8 3/4"high.
